PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reel seat for a spinning rod whose reel leg-mounting face is devised to enhance decorativeness. SOLUTION: The reel seat for the spinning rod is characterized by having a fixed hood 6 for holding a reel leg 3A on a reel seat body 5A and a reel leg-mounting face 5C for supporting the reel leg 3A held in the fixed hood 6, forming a dent portion 5b dented in the axial direction X of the rod on the reel leg-mounting face 5C to mount and fix a name plate L in the dent portion, and forming the dent portion 5b in a length ranged from an exposed position not covered with the fixed hood 6 to a hood inner space covered with the fixed hood 6.
