Disclosed are: an aluminum foil having a plurality of through holes and desired foil strength; and a process for producing the aluminum foil. Specifically disclosed are: a high-strength perforated aluminum foil having a plurality of through holes that penetrate therethrough from the front surface to the back surface thereof, which is characterized by having (1) a foil thickness of 50 µm or less and (2) a breaking strength of [0.2×(foil thickness) (µm)]N/10 mm or more; and a process for producing a high-strength perforated aluminum foil, which is characterized by carrying out the embossing processing of a perforated aluminum foil having a plurality of through holes or carrying out the stretching processing and the bending processing of a perforated aluminum foil having a plurality of through holes simultaneously.
