The invention relates to mutants of DNA polymerase mu (Polµ) which have greater terminal deoxynucleotidyl transferase activity than the wild enzyme (wt) and which improve the potential thereof as a molecular tool. Said mutants can be used, inter alia, in polynucleotide labelling techniques and for joining overhangs and blunt ends.
