A mobile communication system comprises: a mobile station; a base station for wireless communicating with the mobile station; and a gateway apparatus connected to the base station and to a core network. The base station comprises: a first transmitting means for transmitting a registration message used for registering the mobile station with the gateway apparatus; and a second transmitting means for transmitting a message related to the establishment of an emergency call issued by the mobile station. The gateway apparatus comprises: a first receiving means for receiving the registration message from the base station; a second receiving means for receiving the establishment message related to the establishment of the emergency call from the base station; and a checking means for checking a consistency between the registration message and the establishment message.
