The bandage (2) has reinforcements that are made of polyester and arranged parallel to each other within a layer. The polyester is high-shrinkable and highly tenacious polyester and subjected to relaxation. Specific fracture energy of the reinforcements is greater than 5.0 Newton per tex. The reinforcements are formed as a cord that exhibits fineness of about 1000-6000 decitex. The reinforcement is a simply twisted yarn that exhibits fineness of 1100 decitex and twist of 80-200 per meter. The polyester is polyethylene terephthalate (PET).
