<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a removing system of nitrogen oxides capable of washing and removing nitrogen oxides contained in air by bringing the nitrogen oxides into contact with highly activated carbon fibers using an air flow for oxidation adsorption with rainwater, and requiring neither operation energy nor maintenance work without being affected by the restriction of the setting space. <P>SOLUTION: In the removing system 55 of the nitrogen oxides, cleaning units 58, 59, 60 are mounted on a vehicle 56 running on a road, and nitrogen oxides containing any one of nitrogen monoxide or nitrogen dioxide, or both of them contained in air can be removed. The cleaning units 58, 59, 60, including one or more plate-like objects formed by collecting the highly activated carbon fibers for capturing the nitrogen oxides, are disposed in a place where air flows in a state of being exposed to rainwater, the air is brought into contact with the highly activated carbon fibers to oxidize and adsorb the contained nitrogen oxides, the nitrogen oxides subjected to oxidation adsorption are turned to nitric acid with rainwater and are washed and removed, and the highly activated carbon fibers are regenerated. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
