PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a toilet seat device for improving visual recognition property in a portion to announce the function state of the toilet seat device by simplifying the constitution of a human-body detecting portion. SOLUTION: The toilet seat device includes: a body; a toilet seat arranged in the body; a heater for heating the toilet seat; and a detecting/announcing portion 4 arranged in the body so as to detect a human body and to announce the function state of the toilet seat device. The detecting/announcing portion 4 includes: a reflective infrared ray sensor for detecting the human body; an announcement light 23 for emitting visible light so as to announce the function state of the toilet seat device; and a cover 21 arranged to cover the infrared ray sensor and the announcement light 23, where an infrared ray transmits therethrough and a prescribed range of visible light transmittance is provided.
