PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging apparatus that eliminates decentering without requiring image processing different for each frame, or additionally correcting the center of gravity, thereby improving image quality and increasing S/N ratio. SOLUTION: When an operating mode control signal indicates a full-pixel mode, a controller 140 sequentially reads signals from all pixels, and when the operating mode control signal indicates a decimation mode, the controller 140 controls to read signals from different pixels while changing a readout position for each field. When the operating mode control signal indicates the full-pixel mode, a signal processor 150 performs signal processing on field data of a single field, and outputs them as frame data and when the operating mode control signal indicates the decimation mode, the signal processor 150 adds data of a plurality of fields and outputs them as frame data.
