PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shake-out type mechanical pencil which can send out a core 7 only by extremely light swinging motion and can prevent the unnecessary core delivery at carrying the pencil, and furthermore, can send out the core 7 by knocking motion even in a state that the unnecessary core delivery is in prevented at the carrying. SOLUTION: At carrying a shake-out type mechanical pencil, by making the locking protrusion 14B of the inner holding piece 14 engaged with the locking step 16A of the tip member 16, the inner holding piece 14 abuts on a front ring 5.
