PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce internal resistance of a battery pack by arranging a plurality of identical flat batteries so that front and rear faces are alternately reversed, and by joining a positive electrode external terminal to a negative electrode external terminal of opposing broad width faces of the neighboring flat batteries. SOLUTION: The battery pack 100 is constituted by deploying a plurality of flat rectangular batteries 200 of a flat rectangular parallelepiped shape in series, by opposing their broad width faces 202, 204, while in respective flat rectangular batteries, a positive electrode external terminal is installed on one broad width face, and a negative electrode external terminal is installed on the other broad width face. The positive electrode external terminal in a broad width face of one piece of flat rectangular battery and the negative electrode external terminal on the broad width face are formed in a corresponding shape on the rear side of symmetric position against the center in the broad width face. That is, in one piece of the flat rectangular battery, the positive electrode external terminal completely coincides with the negative electrode external terminal of the broad width face (rear side) when the broad width face is rotated 180°around the center.
