PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sheet carrying mechanism and an image forming device incorporated with this sheet carrying mechanism, for reducing a defective percent of separating a sheet. SOLUTION: This sheet carrying mechanism includes a support surface for supporting a sheet bundle of laying a plurality of sheets, a carrying element for taking out and carrying the sheet from the sheet bundle, an air sending mechanism for floating part of the sheet bundle by blowing off gas toward the layering surface of the sheet bundle formed by stacking the edge of the sheet and a regulating mechanism for regulating floating of the part of the sheet bundle by intermittently adding force toward the support surface.
