PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging apparatus capable of acquiring position and time information from a GPS at a high probability by having a reception part which is electrically connected easily, has high reception sensitivity during the normal use of the imaging apparatus, and is disposed at a part where an influence by a human body and an influence of the other noise from an electrical component radiating electrical noise are small, in the imaging apparatus provided with a GPS reception part. SOLUTION: In the imaging apparatus including an imaging part, a recording part for recording images photographed in the imaging part, a holding part and a zoom key, the GPS reception part is provided at the opposite side of the holding part with the zoom key as a center. Also, in the imaging apparatus, the GPS reception part is disposed on the same substrate as an element operated by the zoom key. In the imaging apparatus including the imaging part, the recording part for recording the images photographed in the imaging part, the holding part and a still image photographing button, the GPS reception part is provided on the opposite side of the holding part with the still image photographing button as a center.
