PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a telephone system capable of giving remote control instruction of a plurality of apparatuses to be remotely controlled by a simple operation instruction in the remote control of electric apparatuses through a communication network. SOLUTION: The telephone terminal has a means provided with a remote control signal transmission part, and for receiving remote control execution instruction information from an exchange controller and transmitting remote control signals to the apparatus to be remotely controlled. The exchange controller includes a remote control mode storage part for storing the correspondence information of the identification information of a remote control mode and the plurality of apparatuses to be remotely controlled in the remote control mode and the respective remote control contents of the plurality of apparatuses to be remotely controlled. When receiving information specifying the remote control mode, the remote control is successively executed for all the apparatuses to be remotely controlled, which are predetermined in the remote control mode.
