<p>Specimens to be immediately measured are conveyed to an automatic analyzing device via other units after being dispensed. In an automated specimen processing system including a combination of a plurality of units each having a function of processing specimens, the units include at least a dispensing unit that dispenses and ejects specimens accommodated in specimen containers to other specimen containers. The dispensing unit includes one or more carrying lines that carry the specimens out of the dispensing unit to a conveying line, lines orthogonal to the carrying lines, and a conveying line that conveys the specimens in a direction reverse to that of a conveying line that conveys the specimens charged into the system to the dispensing unit. The specimens that have undergone processing in the dispensing unit are conveyed to a storing unit disposed upstream of the system via the conveying line that moves in the reverse direction.</p> |
