<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fiber assembly that exhibits performance without being dissolved even when an organic solvent is heated. <P>SOLUTION: The fiber assembly comprises a fiber obtained by coating a first polymer soluble in an organic solvent with a second polymer insoluble in the organic solvent. Preferably the second polymer is insoluble in water. Especially a carboxymethylcellulose (CMC) or polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) is preferable as the second polymer.
