PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform the processing of multi-gradation quantization by to a more suitable method. SOLUTION: The present invention relates to a program for making a computer perform the processing of multi-gradation quantization. The computer is made to carry out pixel selection processing for sequentially selecting a pixel to be quantized, usage rate determination processing which determines a noise usage rate indicating a degree of affecting the quantization processing with dither matrix noise and an error usage rate indicating a degree of affecting the quantization processing with a cumulative error, and for determining the noise usage rate and the error usage rate corresponding to pixels to be sequentially selected in the pixel selection processing in accordance with density values of the pixels, and quantization execution processing which performs quantization on the density values of the pixels to be sequentially selected in the pixel selection processing, and for performing quantization while using the dither matrix noise in accordance with the noise usage rate corresponding to the pixels and while using the cumulative error in accordance with the error usage rate corresponding to the pixels.
