PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus which can sufficiently exercise cooling effect for paper after fixing by causing heat transmitted to a member coming into contact with the paper efficiently to escape. SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus 1 includes: an image forming part for forming a toner image on paper T; a fixing part 9 for melting toner composing the toner image that is formed on the paper T by this image forming part and fixing the toner to the paper T; a plurality of fibrous members 110 having tip side portions 110a arranged to be able to come into contact with the paper T; a long fixing member 120 for fixing respective base sides of the plurality of fibrous members 110; and an air feeding part 130 for feeding air toward the fixed member 120 and the base side portions 110b of the plurality of fibrous members 110.
