PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the harmful effects of user authentication processings at electronic apparatus. SOLUTION: The electronic apparatus 1 includes an imaging section 15, an operating section 12 that receives operation from outside, a storing section 19 that stores a key image, a function executing section 33 that executes or stops a predetermined function, and an authenticating section 31 that makes the imaging section 15 take an image and performs authentication processing, based on the taken image and the key image. When the function executing section 33 receives execution operation of the predetermined function from the operating section 12, and if authentication can be obtained within a predetermined time period, when taking an image by the imaging section 15 and the authentication processing by the authenticating section 31 are executed, the function executing section maintains execution of the predetermined function, after the predetermined time period has passed; and if the authentication cannot be obtained within the predetermined time period, the function executing section stops the predetermined function, after the predetermined time period has passed.
