PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a diesel engine supplying engine oil to an injection pump holding case while using an electronic governor. SOLUTION: An actuator 8 of the electronic governor is mounted on an oil reservoir case end wall 4b opposing to a bulkhead 17. When an output rod 8b projects toward a fuel metering part 10 of a fuel injection pump 2 through an inside of the oil reservoir case 4 from a rod insertion through hole 8a of the actuator 8, an oil splashing means 5 is composed of plate material oil splashing blades 67 attached to a fuel injection camshaft 3, an eaves 9 is led out toward the oil reservoir case end wall 4b from the bulkhead 17 under the output rod 8b of the actuator 8, and the oil splashing means 5 is held at a position closer to the bulkhead 17 than a led out end edge 9a of the eaves 9 right below under the eaves 9.
