PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid leakage detection device capable of detecting a failure during cleaning the inside of a cask. SOLUTION: The liquid leakage detection device 14 is applied for a cask cleaning apparatus 2, wherein the cask 100 in such a state that a mouth piece 101a having a spare valve fitted thereto is turned downward is disposed on a table 13 and a heated cleaning liquid is injected to the inside of the cask 100 by fitting a cleaning attachment into the spare valve to perform the cleaning. The device includes: a gloss sensor 21 for measuring physical amounts correlated with the gloss on the table 13 after feeding out the cask 100b after cleaning; and a temperature sensor 22 for measuring the physical amounts correlated with the temperature on the table 13 after feeding out the cask 100b after cleaning. The presence or absence of the leakage of the cleaning liquid is discriminated based on measurement results of respective sensors 21, 22. COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT
