PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a charging device for a vehicle which can avoid a risky situation that a charge voltage remains applied to a charge connector in a state that the charge connector is disconnected. SOLUTION: This charging device for the vehicle comprise a start button 9 which indicates a start of charging, a detection means 6 which detects a charge current sent to a charge cable, and a charge control part 7. The control part 7 has a function for stopping the charging by turning off a relay 5 of a charge electric passage 1 when the detection means 6 of the charge current does not detect a current not lower than a prescribed value until a prescribed time elapses after the start button 9 is pressed down. Since the current not lower than the prescribed value does not flow to the charge electric passage 1 in the state that the charge connector is disconnected, the risk is prevented by the stop of the charging.
