<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shorten a connection confirmation processing time during starting of USB equipment for host equipment. <P>SOLUTION: It is configured such that electric power Vbus is supplied from a host controller 310, and separately, sub electric power Vsub can be supplied from a power supply unit 4. A main control section 320 performs control to supply the sub electric power Vsub from the power supply unit 4 onto a power supply line between the USB host controller 310 and USB equipment 502 during starting. When initialization and starting processing of the USB host controller 310 and starting processing of the USB equipment 502 supplied with the sub electric power Vsub by the power supply unit 4 are both completed, the USB controller 310 performs connection recognition on the USB equipment 502. Since the initialization setting and starting processing of the USB host controller 310 and the starting processing of the USB equipment 502 supplied with the sub electric power Vsub by the power supply unit 4 are performed in parallel, the connection confirmation processing time is accordingly shortened. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
