PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a melting furnace capable of remarkably improving workability in disposing a gate, and easily performing maintenance such as replacement. SOLUTION: The melting furnace 1 includes a furnace body 2, and the gate 3 for leading out molten metal from a melting chamber 4 disposed in the furnace body 2. A guide groove 8 for guiding the molten metal in the melting chamber 4 to the lead-out direction is formed on the gate 3, and the gate 3 is formed into the block shape separately from the furnace body 2.
