PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an opening trim weather strip that is easily inserted into a flange for saving the weight of a vehicle. SOLUTION: The opening trim weather strip 10 is provided with a mounting base 20, and a seal portion 30 integrated with the mounting base. The opening trim weather strip 10 has a loop-like shape surrounded by an upper side portion 13, a vertical side portion 14, and an lower side portion 15 mounted on an upper side, a vertical side, and a lower side of a door opening edge 6, respectively. The mounting structure of the opening trim weather strip includes a first portion provided by the lower side portion 15, or a part of the lower side portion 15 and the vertical side portion 14 which is covered by an inner cover 40, and a second portion which is not covered by the inner cover 40. A whole cross-sectional surface of the mounting base 20 in the first portion is made of a rubber-like elastic body, and the mounting base 20 in the second portion is made of a rubber-like elastic body having an insert embedded therein.
