PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problems of an organic photoreceptor having a conventional reverse layer structure as well as to develop a negative charging reverse layer structure, to provide an organic photoreceptor, which solves a problem of thickening of an electrostatic latent image due to diffusion of a carrier in a charge transport layer that has a currently mainstream layer structure (a layer structure in which a charge transport layer is disposed on a charge generating layer), and which can form an electrostatic latent image with high density and high definition, while solving problems relating to wear resistance or the like; and to provide an image forming apparatus and a process cartridge using the organic photoreceptor. SOLUTION: The organic photoreceptor includes a charge transport layer, a charge generating layer and a protective layer, successively layered on an electroconductive support, wherein the charge transport layer contains an electron transporting compound, and the protective layer is a resin layer formed by reacting and curing a curable compound.
