METHOD OF CONNECTING NEUTRON MEASUREMENT PIPE, AND NEUTRON MEASUREMENT PIPE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of replacing a neutron measurement pipe, capable of reducing the amount of time required to connect a neutron measurement guide pipe. SOLUTION: The neutron measurement guide pipe 1 having a sleeve positioning member 70 attached thereto is conveyed into a nuclear pressure vessel 16. A pair of split sleeves 56A divided in half from each other is placed around an end of a neutron instrument housing 2 so that a projection 75 formed on the inner surface of each sleeve 56A is inserted into a circular groove formed on the outer surface at the end of the neutron instrument housing 2. A tightening nut 73 surrounds the pair of sleeves 56A at the end of the neutron instrument housing 2. A screw 74 formed on the inner surface of the tightening nut 73 engages in a screw 72 of the sleeve positioning member 70, so that the tightening nut 73 is tightened.
