PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polylactic acid resin foam having excellent secondary expansion property and capable of performing in-mold expansion molding easily. SOLUTION: This polylactic acid resin foam is produced by extrusion-foaming a polylactic acid resin composition including a crystalline polylactic acid resin, a pyrolytic chemical foaming agent and a physical foaming agent. The polylactic acid resin foam has an area average cell diameter of 1-200μm. The polylactic acid resin foam has a ratio of≥0.6 of the area average cell diameter of an outside in a foam cross-section to that of an inside in the foam cross-section, and has a rate of change of≥1.5 in an expansion ratio before and after the secondary expansion.
