PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a filtration module which does not require adjustment of the inner diameter of a housing, even when the outside diameter tolerance of a filter element is high, and also, enables a reliable sealing of a space between the inner circumferential surface of an end part of the housing and the outer circumferential surface of an end part of the filter element with the help of an O-ring with an identical sectional size. SOLUTION: This filtration module includes a columnar ceramic filter element 2 with a large number of through holes 6, which is accommodated inside the housing 1, in such a fashion that the space between the inner circumferential surface of the end part of the housing 1 and the outer circumferential surface of the end part of the filter element 2 is sealed with a rubber-made O-ring 12. Further, in the inner circumferential surface of the end part of the housing 1, an O-ring accommodating groove 5 is formed which is of the V-sectional shape broadening toward the inner circumferential surface of the end part of the housing 1. Besides, the O-ring accommodating groove 5 has an escape space 13 for the O-ring 12, formed at an opposite position to the inner circumferential surface of the end part of the housing 1. The outside diameter tolerance of the filter element 2 is taken up by the amount of escape of the O-ring 12 in the escape space 13. COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT
