<p>The system (1) measures time of at least one object (3) on the basis of passing a finish line (2). It comprises a camera (8) with a photosensitive sensor (5) and a lens (4) for registering an image of said line (2). The image is sent to a processor (9) for processing. Timing means (6) deliver a timing signal to said processor (9). The system (1) is at least partially automatically aligned. It thereto comprises a first active optical indicator (13) that is located at a predefined location with reference to the line of passage (2), which indicator (13) is detected as part of the image registered by the camera (8) so as to obtain detection data. The system (1) further comprises camera adjustment means (7) for adjustment of the orientation of a centre axis of the camera, said adjustment being specified by the processor (9) on the basis of the detection data.</p> |
