The projecting roof (7) and/or awning has a cloth shaft (1) horizontally attached to a recreational vehicle (6) e.g. caravan (2), and bent parallel to the vehicle by a supporting device (3), which is attached horizontal to the vehicle. The cloth shaft and the supporting device are concealably arranged into the vehicle, where bending of cloth at an end point (4) of the cloth has same bending as a roof front of the vehicle. The awning is supported at areas by the supporting device, where inclination of the awning is determined. The awning is enclosed by a blind (5).
