<p>Disclosed is a display device provided with a display panel (3) which displays an image, a control panel (2) which controls the directivity of light, and a visual angle detection means which detects the visual angle formed by the surface of the display panel and the visual line of a viewer. The control panel controls the directivity of the light on the basis of the visual angle detected by the visual angle detection means. Switching between wide directivity and narrow directivity is possible, and the range of the narrow directivity can be changed. By collecting light in the direction in which the viewer is present, the use efficiency of the light can be increased, and the light emission amount of a light source is reduced, thereby achieving lower power consumption.</p> |
