<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery which has a positive electrode active material made of an olivinic iron phosphate lithium (LiFePO<SB>4</SB>) and offers a superior charge/discharge cycle life performance and superior high-rate discharge characteristics. <P>SOLUTION: The nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery includes a positive electrode having a positive electrode mixture layer containing an olivinic iron phosphate lithium, a negative electrode, and a nonaqueous electrolyte. The positive electrode mixture layer is made of two-layers, a layer containing nano-sized olivinic iron phosphate lithium particles and a layer containing micro-sized olivinic iron phosphate lithium particles. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
