<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a positive electrode mixture and a positive electrode wherein a nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery capable of showing high output at a high current rate can be prepared. <P>SOLUTION: In the positive electrode mixture for the nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery, the positive electrode mixture includes positive electrode active material powder wherein tap density formed by particles with the average particle diameter of 0.05-1 μm is 0.8-3.0 g/cm<SP>3</SP>, and includes 0.5-20 pts.wt. conductive agent, 0.5-10 pts.wt. binder, and 10-120 pts.wt. solvent against 100 pts.wt. positive electrode active material powder. Furthermore, viscosity of the positive electrode mixture is 1,000-25,000 mPa s.
