<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make resolution of individual sub-cameras higher than resolution of a multi-color synthetic image in a color camera that has at least three sub-cameras and a synthesizing part. <P>SOLUTION: The color camera includes at least three sub-cameras and the synthesizing part. Each sub-camera includes: an imaging lens; a color filter; and a detector array. The synthesizing part combines images from the at least three sub-cameras to form the multi-color synthetic image; includes at least one different optical component on an optical path of a first detector that is adjacent to a second detector that receives substantially the same wavelength light; and increases the resolution of the multi-color synthetic image to be higher than the resolution of the individual sub-cameras.
