<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce cost of manufacturing a transformer. <P>SOLUTION: The transformer 1 includes: magnetic substrates 2a, 2b, and loop-like coils 3a, 3b provided on the magnetic substrates 2a, 2b. The magnetic substrates 2a, 2b each has grooves 7 formed on one surface, and a plurality of wirings 8a, 8b formed on the grooves 7, respectively. Both substrates 2a, 2b are allowed to face each other so that the grooves 7 of the substrates 2a, 2b can cross each other. Wirings 8a, 8b of the magnetic substrates 2a, 2b are electrically connected to each other to form loop-like coils 3a, 3b, and both loop-like coils 3a, 3b are magnetically coupled. In the transformer 1, changing of the number of wirings 8a, 8b enables the number of windings of the loop-like coils 3a, 3b to be adjusted.
