<p>Disclosed is a diagnostic imaging apparatus which enables a user, when redisplaying a plurality of cross-section images extracted, to easily recognize which positions in the axial direction the cross-section images are of. Specifically disclosed is the diagnostic imaging apparatus which is characterized by comprising a means which on the basis of line data generated by causing a transmission and reception unit to radially operate, generates the cross-section image of the inside of a body cavity and receives count values from the reference position of the transmission and reception unit, a means (602) wherein the count values and the line data are associated and stored, a means (604) which constructs a longitudinal-section image by arraying the line data on the basis of the count values, a means (315) which displays the longitudinal-section image, and a means (603) which reconstructs the cross-section image by reading the line data associated with the same count value as the line data arrayed at the position designated by the user on the displayed longitudinal-section image.</p> |
