The heat exchanger (10) has a receiving area (15) including lower feeding and upper discharging openings (23, 24). A mass flow is fed into the area over the feeding opening and discharged from the area over the discharging opening. Another mass flow is guided into pipelines (19, 20) i.e. spiral pipes, that are extended from an upper feeding opening (21) in direction of a lower discharging opening (22). A conveying device i.e. speed-controlled circulating pump, controls lifting speed of the former mass flow in the area based on temperature of the latter mass flow.
