The device has a lubricant reservoir connected with a lubricating point via a lubricant path (13). The lubricant path is designed as a capillary (16), which is produced by a foil (10). The capillary is designed by shaping a surface e.g. upper side, of the foil. The surface of the foil is shaped by etching, stamping, embossing or rolling or applying an adhesive layer (18). The foil including the lubricant path is brought into operative connection with a component i.e. shaft. A discharge region of the foil is arranged with the lubrication point. An independent claim is also included for a method for supplying a lubricant to a lubricating point in a component.
