The electrostatic coating device of Specification 1,154,014 comprising a disc 10 having on the rearward face a step 13 constituting a centrifuginig edige, the disc being surrounded by a flow of compressed air directed towards a workpiece and connected to a high voltage generator, is modified in that a second spray disc 11 is provided behind the disc 10 and spaced therefrom, the second disc 11 being of at least equal diameter to the disc 10 and arranged to rotate therewith, and having a step constituting a centrifuging edge on the forward face thereof. Paint may be supplied by line 17 via the distributor ring 16. A further disc may be provided having a forward centrifuging step cooperating with a rearward centrifuging step provided on the disc 11, and different paints may be supplied to the different atomising edges. The centrifuging edges and distributor ring imay be grooved.</p> |
