<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide chopsticks adopting an illumination effect or a sterilizing effect with internal illumination type beams of light as a design method or a sanitary management means. <P>SOLUTION: The chopsticks 10 are formed of a light transmitting material or a light passing structure, and LED light sources L1 and batteries B are charged inside the chopsticks 10. Beams of light from the LED light sources L1 are guided into optional parts of the chopsticks through the light transmitting material or the light passing structure to emit light. A possibility of a new design with light as a design element is developed in a field of chopsticks difficult to strike a new form. Further, light sources emitting the wavelength of an ultraviolet region exhibiting bactericidal action are used as the LED light sources L1 to add a self-cleaning sterilizing function to the chopsticks. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
