PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent plants such as fungi and mosses from growing thick in natural turf and artificial turf to maintain the external appearance of the turf to prevent the occurrence of an offensive odor and to maintain an antibacterial moss controlling effect over a long period without adversely affecting the human body, causing the environmental pollution, and inhibiting the growth of natural turf.

SOLUTION: An antibacterial moss controlling agent comprising stabilized chlorine dioxide and a cationic surface active agent is spread over natural turf and artificial turf. Furthermore, an antibacterial moss controlling agent obtained by supporting stabilized chlorine dioxide and a cationic surface active agent on an inorganic carrier is spread.
