PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cylindrical reel seat in which the shapes of both the side edges on a reel leg-mounting face is improved to facilitate the turning of fingers. SOLUTION: The cylindrical reel seat is disposed with a pair of hoods 6, 7 for holding a reel leg 3A and a reel leg-mounting face 5C for mounting the reel leg 3A on the reel body 5A. Both the side edges on the reel leg-mounting face 5C are formed in a curved shape wherein a portion placed amidst a pair of the hoods 6, 7 is dented in a mutually approaching state. Dented surfaces 5c, 6e are formed deviated on the rod butt side as separated from the side end edges 6, 7 in the peripheral direction on the right and left lateral sides from both the end edges formed in a dented curved shape.
