PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an improved photosensor for the detection of ambient light within an OLED display. SOLUTION: The OLED display with a photosensor includes: (a) a substrate; (b) a display area comprising an array of addressable OLEDs formed on the substrate; and (c) an elongated photosensor formed on the substrate and located along an edge of the display area and responsive to ambient illumination to generate a feedback signal in response thereto. The elongated photosensor includes a first conductive electrode extending in the longitudinal direction of the photosensor and a second conductive electrode. COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT
