PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To recognize brailles and characters by a contact-type image sensor, and to provide an image processing technology which does not use lenses. SOLUTION: A contact type image sensor is configured, by having a transparent member adhere to the surface of an image pickup means, and arranging a light source at the side part of the image pickup means and the transparent plate member, and is provided with a finger mounting means for mounting the contact-type image sensor on the finger. The contact-type image sensor includes: an image processing means for superimposing a plurality of images obtained from the contact type image sensor by calculating inter-frame correlation to obtain a composited image, and for converting the obtained composited image into a pattern of a braille pattern, a character pattern and a color pattern; and a voice conversion means for converting a pattern of the braille pattern, the character pattern, and the color pattern obtained from the image processing means into a corresponding voice, and for outputting it with a voice.
