PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water-based releasing agent for die casting capable of suppressing the consumption of the releasing agent for water die casting extremely little compared with conventional die casting releasing agents, capable of sufficiently controlling the generation of Leidenfrost phenomenon while setting the cooling width of a die to be in a moderate range, and capable of achieving an excellent mold releasability. SOLUTION: The water-based releasing agent for die casting contains 1-50 mass% of a release component, 5-50 mass% of a water-soluble compound whose boiling point is 150°C or more, and 1-90 mass% of water, based on 100 mass% of the water-based releasing agent for die casting.
