PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a resin composition for a yellow-colored layer for a color filter, which can form a yellow-colored layer excellent in color reproduction performance and having high contrast and brightness.

SOLUTION: The resin composition for a yellow-colored layer for a color filter contains a pigment, a binder resin, a dispersant, and a solvent. The pigment contains PY139 and PY150, wherein the content ratio of the PY139 to the PY150 is in the range of 10/90 to 70/30.
