<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an exhaust emission control device capable of improving purification ratio of NOx at the time of refrigeration immediately after start of an internal combustion engine. <P>SOLUTION: The exhaust emission control device 1 includes: a first catalytic converter 41 provided in an exhaust pipe 4 of an engine 2 and having an oxidation catalyst oxidizing part of NO in exhaust air to NO<SB>2</SB>; a second catalytic converter 42 provided at the downstream of the first catalytic converter 41 in the exhaust pipe 4 and having an NOx trap catalyst capturing NOx in the exhaust air in coexistence with hydrogen; and a fuel reformer 8 provided independently of the exhaust pipe 4, reforming fuel to generate reformed gas containing at least hydrogen, and supplying it between the first catalytic converter 41 and the second catalytic converter 42 in the exhaust pipe 4. In the exhaust emission control device 1, the reformed gas containing the hydrogen is supplied by the fuel reformer 8 under one condition that temperature of the exhaust air is equal to or lower than a predetermined first determined temperature. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT |
