PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce loss caused by an eddy current which is extended and distributed in the radial direction with respect to a prescribed axis in an opposing face of a magnet field part. SOLUTION: This rotating electric machine includes an armature having a plurality of winding magnetic cores around the prescribed axis (Q1), and a magnetic fielder (10) having a plurality of magnet field parts (10a) around the prescribed axis so as to oppose the winding magnetic cores. In the opposing face (10c) opposite to the armature of each magnetic field part, one or a plurality of oblong grooves (12m) extending in the substantially-circumferential direction (Q3) with respect to the prescribed axis are formed on at least a front layer.
