PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic camera which suitably eliminates dark-current noise from an image obtained through regular photographing. SOLUTION: The electronic camera includes an imaging device which has an effective pixel area where pixels for photoelectrically converting object light into signal charge are arranged two-dimensionally, wherein two or more pixels among the pixels arranged in the effective pixel area are constituted of light-shielding pixels for shielding the object light; a setting section for dividing and setting the effective pixel area into a plurality of areas so as to make each of the areas include the light-shielding pixels; and a correcting section for correcting the pixel value of pixels included in the areas by area, on the basis of the pixel value of the light-shielding pixels included in the areas which are divided and set by the setting section at imaging by the imaging device.
