PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide wadding which causes no allergic disease such as asthma, due to dispersion of feces and carcasses of generated mite in the wadding present inside bedding, interior products, toys, pet living supplies and the like, and to provide a production method therefor. SOLUTION: An aqueous solution containing a polycondensation product of tannin and formaldehyde is coated on the surface of raw cotton or carded flat cotton and dried to form a polyphenol polymer layer on the surface of wadding.
